Today around the U.S. people are coming together to celebrate their biological, adoptive, foster, and for many of us our chosen fathers.
Taking an excerpt from a previous post on mothers and using it today to honor the nation’s fathers we celebrate the greatness it takes to be a true father. Not necessarily biological but those men who step up to the plate and take on the responsibilities of a molding a young life and showing them the right steps to take and their backbone when they have a misstep.
Taking time out to celebrate all the great great who know the importance of raising a child in this unkind world, to still be contributing, respectful and enlightened members of society. To these fathers who sacrifice so much of themselves and their identities to create an identity and a way for a young person we celebrate you.
Fathers deserve the respect of the world and more. To the fathers who give their all and then reach down to give more – we honor you. To the fathers who raise girls to women and boys to men – we honor you. For being that guiding voice far into our adulthood – we honor you.
