Sean “Diddy” Combs proved once again why he’s one of entertainments savviest business moguls.
It was announced that Combs inked a deal with retail giant Macy’s to exclusively carry his highly celebrated Sean John Sportswear brand throughout their retail stores.
Initially, Sean John will be carried in 400 – about half of its stores nationwide. Shortly thereafter Macy’s will introduce the line to its remaining stores.
Macy’s is known for being discerning about the brands it carries exclusively, including Martha Stewart and Tommy Hilfiger, but a spokesperson for the store was quick to note that they turn away over 95% of the request for exclusive distribution.
The legendary store also noted that it is committed to making Sean Jean, a brand which has generated over $1 billion in sales for the retail giant, it’s biggest launch to date.
