Entertainment mogul, Tyler Perry, continues to build on his longstanding relationship with film distributer Lionsgate, by partnering to bring their 11th film endeavor to theaters.
Perry and Lionsgate are set to bring Perry’s Medea character back to the big screen with the next installment in the franchise Medea’s Big Happy Family.
The film, which Perry will direct and produce via his Tyler Perry Studios, is set to be released April 2011.
After making the joint announcement, Perry said of bringing the Medea foray back to the screen, “It’s very important to me to make movies that audiences can relate to, and I can’t think of a more relatable subject than family. I’m looking forward to bringing back Madea and the gang, and I’m glad to have Lionsgate with me for the journey.”
