Karen Clark Sheard’s High Notes

Singer-songwriter and musician, Karen Clark Sheard, has a new album out and is back on the road.

The legendary Gospel singer, member of the Clark Sisters, and mother to Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, has released her newest album, All In One on April 6. It’s her first solo studio effort in four years.

The album has a more updated and mainstream feel to it and has been #3 on Billboard’s Gospel chart. The lead single “Prayed Up”, is #18 on the Gospel Singles chart.

This marks the second release on Clark-Sheard’s Karew Records label, which she founded with her husband Bishop J. Drew Sheard. Karew’s other release was 2009’s A Clark Family Christmas.

Speaking of starting her own label Clark-Sheard stated, “We’ve been in this business for so long and under other companies that I thought it was time to have my own label.”

Clark-Sheard is currently touring the country with the play Church Girls, and will also be making an appearance on the big screen in a biopic about legendary Soul singer Aretha Franklin. She’ll play the member of one of the groups Franklin was apart of before launching her solo career.
