Academy Award nominated actress, singer-songwriter, film and television producer, Queen Latifah, has teamed up with BET to create scripted programming for the network.
BET has recently announced that it wants to focus more on creating original programming, offering scripted shows on their network. They also announced they’ll be reviving the CW Network show The Game which has ran in syndication on BET, with new shows.
Latifah’s production company will create a new show from the ground up for the BET Network.
The BET Network, which now is apart of the Viacom Media conglomerate, also is home to the ratings winner The Mo’Nique Show, which is hosted by Academy Award winning comedian Mo’Nique. The network also has a string of reality shows geared towards younger audiences.
