There’s been a lot of buzz going around that technology giant Apple might be entering the world of the tablet computer.
There have been so many rumors over the last couple years that Apple would be entering the world of the tablet computer but it seems within the last couple months momentum has peaked. Even this week PC World reported Apple will launch the tablet soon.
If rumors are true Apple would begin production as early as next month and take them about five to six weeks to stock up enough of the tablets for customer demand.
I saw on Martha Stewart’s Twitter page that she was asking her followers if they would read magazines via a tablet within the next 2 or 3 years. Martha is known for having Macs in her home and office I wonder if she is privy to inside information.
It’s being said that the tablets would have an introductory price of $1000, about the same of a base price MacBook. This seems a highly interesting and lucrative venture for Apple on par with the hype of their iPhone release in 2007.
We would love to get our hands on one if it has the same capabilities as a MacBook, however taking note from the iPhone release we’ll be waiting until the hype dies down and hopefully get our revamped version months later for a fraction of the cost. Because at $1000 it’s at the top tier of the tablet field and we won’t mind getting ours later for cheaper.
